    As Duke prepares to face Houston in San Antonio for a spot in the National Championship Game, the Blue Zone takes a look at the last time the Blue Devils won in the Final Four, back in 2015:On Saturday, the Blue Devils punched their ticket to the Final Four for the third time in the last 10 years. The most recent victory for Duke in the national semifinals came a decade ago, in an 81-61 bludgeoning of Michigan State on the road to a fifth national title.

    Apart from Evans and Kim, the Blue Devils still performed solidly. On the final day, William Love and Luke Sample joined Evans in turning in a 70, good enough for 2-under par. Sample struggled through the first two rounds, and after bogeying on the second hole in the last round, it seemed like he was in for more of the same. Despite this, the New York native managed to play the remainder of the round bogey free, and even posted birdies on No. 4, No. 11 and No. 16.

    On a rough day for the team, Connor Barket punched his ticket for the NCAA Championship. Although Duke finished last out of the seven teams competing in the ACC Championships, Connor Barket’s fifth place finish was good enough for an NCAA Championship bid. “It was up and down a little bit, but he got a bid,” head coach Glen Lanham said.

    For Duke this weekend, 48 hours was the difference between crushing defeat and sweet victory. Despite suffering a lopsided defeat to Cal Friday, the Blue Devils were able to bounce back Saturday and Sunday to win their first series in conference play against the visiting Golden Bears. “We showed off our toughness over the last two days, especially today,” head coach Chris Pollard said.
