MCP is an interface, nothing more. Even its creators think of it as a "USB-C for AI," not some sort of scientific discovery (this doesn't mean it cannot have an important impact on developing applications).

How to detect an idiot: they think that MCP is some sort of advancement in AI, like ReLU, skip connections, dropout, batch normalization, transformers, or RoPE (assuming they know what these latter terms mean).

When you're not transparent about the training data that went into training your model, it's hard to tell memorized data from real generalization.

🔥 New paper! We show GPT‑4o can perfectly recall tons of econ & market data inside its training window—so those glossy “LLM beats Wall St.” back‑tests may just be parroted history. @YuehuaTang The Memorization Problem: Can We Trust LLMs' Economic Forecasts? https://t.co/h61Pu59rF7

What about the cases where it gave the wrong advice? Genuinely curious to know what is the ratio/impact of good/bad healthcare advice ChatGPT gives. Any studies on this?

I'm hearing more and more stories of ChatGPT helping people fix longstanding health issues. We still have a long way to go, but shows how AI is already improving people's lives in meaningful ways. https://t.co/FDDtg2MGvW
