The lumbering upper-air low that hovered over the region since the weekend has finally lifted into northern New England, far enough way to for some sunshine and seasonable weather, after a week of rain and cool days. Temperatures finally edged above 70 degrees for a few hours, with a mix of clouds and sun. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy tonight, with morning readings in the low 50s. A cold front will slip south across Ohio Thursday, with spotty showers.
