Glens Falls will likely get a new mayor. Current Mayor Bill Collins has been in office since 2022, while challenger Diana Palmer has served on the city’s Common Council for the past seven years. According to Warren County’s unofficial primary election results, as of 11:10 p.m., Palmer had received about 71% of votes while incumbent Mayor Collins is far behind with about 29%. Andrew Cuomo conceded New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary to Zohran Mamdani as the 33-year-old member of the state Assembly had a significant lead in the race Tuesday night. Cuomo’s concession came as the race’s outcome will be decided by a ranked choice count after neither Democrat got a clear majority in the vote. Mamdani, a 33-year-old democratic socialist member of the state Assembly, started to pull ahead with more than an estimated 80% of ballots counted.

Albany Chief City Auditor Dorcey Applyrs has a big lead ahead of her opponents as results from Tuesday’s mayoral primary come in. With most of the vote count in around 10:20 p.m., Applyrs had 54% of the vote. Indictment likely Wednesday for man in Grafton triple homicide By WNYT A Rensselaer County man is in jail for allegedly killing his wife, father and step-grandmother at their home on Wednesday evening.
