Fez The Kid drops a new track on Nia Archives’ Up Ya Archives label this week. Listen to jungle belter, ‘Cus It Feels Right’, exclusively below. Taken from his forthcoming ‘Body Mover’ EP — the title track of which dropped earlier this month — ‘Cus It Feels Right’ is a summertime jungle smash, with an upbeat vocal sample and a blend of funky, rolling breaks and chaotic choppage. “I wanted the tune to evolve into something that catches the listener off guard,” Fez told DJ Mag.

Much has been written about graffiti and its place as an original pillar of hip-hop, but its links to rave are far less well-documented. In the UK, these two cultures evolved in tandem; as acid house paved the way for the evermore inventive and rebellious hardcore and later jungle, so too graffiti writers developed their own styles and approaches to combating the system in post-Thatcher Britain.
