This week the thoroughbreds of golf are in Louisville at Valhalla Golf Club for the 106th PGA Championship, the second leg of the Tour’s Major Championships.

In the opening round, there was just one series sweep with the New York Rangers disposing of the Washington Capitals in four games. Special to Sports News Highlights(SNH) — Round 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs are complete after we had a pair of Game 7’s where the home teams, Boston and Dallas, won to advance to Round 2 of the NHL postseason. Playoff drama was at its finest in those two games. Boston got the overtime winner early in the overtime session from their $11-million-dollar man, David Pastrnak, to eliminate the Toronto Maple Leafs by a final score of 2-1 at TD Garden Arena in Boston.
