Posted: The first weekend of summer 2025 was hot and humid. However, temperature trend even hotter early this week. Isolated showers and storms formed across east Alabama Sunday afternoon. However, they fizzled out fairly quickly. Rain coverage was lower than Saturday. Looks like rain coverage remains low through the middle of this week. Sunday night looks dry, while the sky becomes mainly clear with lows in the low 70s.

Posted: Sunday was the first full day of summer 2025 after the solstice on Friday. It certainly felt that way, with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s with higher heat indices. Quite a few showers and storms formed during the afternoon, curbing the heat in many locations by the evening. Our area was rain-free by about 9PM in the evening, and likely remains dry for the rest of the night. The sky becomes partly cloudy with lows in the low 70s.

Posted: Friday morning was dry with fairly abundant sunshine for a change. Temperatures responded by warming into the upper 80s to low 90s by early afternoon. Temperatures likely peak in the low to mid 90s Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, shower and storm coverage likely remains isolated. The best chance for rain looks to be in west Alabama through the evening. Elsewhere, the sky remains partly cloudy. Friday night becomes mainly dry after midnight with lows in the low 70s.

Posted: Showers and storms were plentiful by midday Thursday, as a weakening cluster of them moved south from central Alabama during the late morning. Storms likely remain sub-severe for the rest of the afternoon. Due to the early onset of storms, our area may trend mainly dry fairly early Thursday evening. Thursday night looks dry, with a partially clearing sky and lows in the low 70s. Rain chances trend lower starting Friday.

Showers and storms remain scattered Wednesday afternoon, but coverage becomes more isolated during the evening. Meanwhile, temperatures may still warm into the upper 80s to low 90s in rain-free locations. Wednesday night becomes rain-free with a partially clearing sky, and low temperatures in the low 70s. Thursday features another good chance for rain.
