A pharmacist is hosting a music festival this summer, with Take That and Elton John tribute bands headlining the event. Sultan ‘Sid’ Dajani will be hosting Music at the Manor 2025 on July 12 at Andover Manor, Hampshire, to raise donations and awareness of The Abel Foundation. The charity supports those affected by mitochondrial disease, which currently has no cure.

Pharmacist Support is celebrating its 184th birthday today (April 15) by appealing for donations to boost the mental health support it offers to the pharmacy sector. The charity is encouraging supporters to donate £18.40 in honour of the birthday and suggesting those wanting to take on fundraising challenges “walk 1.84 miles” or “run 18.4km”.

A Brighton pharmacy is working with a local college to offer a placement to one of its autistic students. Based in Saltdean, Healthy-U Pharmacy has been working with St. John’s College, a local education provider specialising in supporting autistic young people aged 16-25. At the end of 2023, one of the college’s staff who uses the pharmacy came in and told the pharmacy’s superintendent pharmacist Derviş Gürol that one of its students wanted to become a dispenser.
