A coastguard helicopter has been called from Inverness to a popular Perthshire spot due to an ongoing incident. Emergency services, including the coastguard helicopter, police and ambulance are stationed near Lundie Crags. The spot is a well-known walking area for people visiting the hill, with a nearby water area popular with fishermen. The Courier’s reporter Lucy Scarlett said: “There’s been a huge emergency response on the A923 at Tullbaccart Farm for several hours now.

A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital and later arrested after an incident on a Perth street. Police were called to Campsie Road in Letham on Monday night after receiving reports of a disturbance. Officers and an ambulance were seen on Struan Road, around the corner from Campsie Road. The man was taken to hospital for treatment, before he was arrested over the incident. He was later charged over the incident and will appear in court.

A Dundee glasses shop has rebranded after a legal threat from punk legends the Sex Pistols. The shop formerly known as Spex Pistols for more than a decade will now be called Land O’Spex after the iconic band kicked up a fuss about the name and logo. The store had operated with the Spex Pistols name – under a trademark – on West Port since 2010. The shop’s logo also resembled that of the 1970s band. However, owner Richard Cook has now changed the name after receiving a cease and desist notice.
