Getty Images/BackyardProductionThe latest grain export inspection report from USDA, out Monday morning and covering the week through June 19, held mixed but mostly disappointing data for traders to digest. Corn volume led the way once again, despite fading moderately below the prior week’s total. Wheat totals were pedestrian, meantime, while soybean totals eroded below the entire range of analyst estimates. Corn export inspections reached 58.1 million bushels.

USDA’s latest grain export report, out Friday morning and covering the week through June 12, didn’t hold a lot of surprises for traders to digest. Corn volume led the way once again after improving 14% from the prior week’s tally. Corn exports found 41.7 million bushels in combined old and new crop sales last week.

Corn plantings moved from 87% a week ago up to 93% through Sunday, mirroring analyst expectations.

The latest export sales report from USDA, out Friday morning and covering the week through May 22, held mixed but mostly bearish data for traders to digest. Corn sales led the way but were still toward the lower end of analyst estimates. Soybean sales were also lackluster, and it’s worth noting that China (which typically accounts for more than half of total sales) is not an active buyer at the moment. Wheat sales found some decent upside after a bevy of new crop sales, meantime.

USDA’s latest crop progress report, out Tuesday afternoon and covering the week through May 25, held some new data points for traders to digest – corn and spring wheat quality ratings, to name a few. The agency also confirmed that corn and soybean plantings continue to move closer to the finish line, despite some rain delays in some areas this past week. Corn plantings moved from 78% in the prior week up to 87% through Sunday. That was one point below the average trade guess of 88%.

I hope everyone in Rolla is doing well and we can laugh even in the face of tragedy. Doing a parade 15 hours after a tornado rips through town is WILD. #rollamo #mowx #missouri #bestever #StPatricksDay https://t.co/As3b52uDDe
