As much as Love Island: All Stars is an utter slay, its success rate for creating lifelong couples is, erm, not the one. The majority of All Stars leave the South African villa single Pringles and the rare couples that make it through the experience last a couple of months together (if that) IRL before calling it quits (not you, Tom x Molly and Luca x Grace, you're doing great).

Can we all just take a minute to process the fact that this series of Love Island hasn't even been on for two whole weeks and already we've had threesome chats, bed-swapping, fiery rows, memes galore and the poor cleaner looking after the Hideaway has already had to give it three or four deep cleans, if we've done our sexy maths correctly. Love Island 2025 is giving Love Island 2019, and thank f**k; we've got Instagram for sitting back and watching hot people do nothing abroad.

Sadly, long gone are the days that the Love Island casting team are going for waiters, builders and ice cream truck drivers (they also did away with farting and people having sex on telly – boring). These days, a summer Love Island cast is made up of mostly influencers, most with ridiculous followings on social media (sorry, but bombshell Remell Mullins ENTERED the Love Island 2025 villa with over 400,000 TikTok followers).

We can honestly say if you’re not watching Aftersun after Love Island on Sunday evenings, you’re only getting half the story. We get it; we LOVE Love Island too, but it is a commitment. Every evening for six to eight weeks twice a year. It’s a lot. In fact, we’re suddenly realising that this TV show is the most stable relationship in our lives. S**t. Anyway, do try and commit to an extra hour every Sunday (at 10pm, after Love Island 2025) because Aftersun is always giving.

So here's the problem we have: we literally do not have a minute of wiggle room in our telly-watching schedule to start viewing yet another reality TV show, BUT, the universe keeps giving us signs (NO, ALARMS) that we need to start watching Love Island USA, ASAP. It's tough enough getting back into the summer Love Island rhythm with Love Island 2025 (seriously, EVERY NIGHT? What about rooftop Aperols after work?). We manage to strike the balance, of course.

It's safe to say when we got wind that Shakira was going into the Love Island 2025 villa, our eyes widened somewhat. They then closed a little when we realised it wasn't the one whose hips don't lie. This year's cohort of Love Island stars have been doing their first round of press interviews from their undisclosed locations over the last couple of days and, let us tell you, the tea has been flowing. Love Island 2025's Megan Forte Clarke (possibly one of the most beautiful human beings we have ever laid our eyes on btw), for example, casually revealed that she is friends with a Love Island 2024 turned All Stars 2025 legend and we are obsessed.
