The Conservative London mayoral candidate's social media activity means she "is unfit to represent London", a charity has claimed. Susan Hall, who was leader of the Tory group on Harrow Council for seven years, has had her history on Twitter exposed by anti-fascist organisation Hope Not Hate. After its review, the charity says this includes endorsing Enoch Powell, Islamophobic tropes about Sadiq Khan, and supporting the lie that the 2020 American election was stolen from Donald Trump.

Barnet is comparable to a violently repressive one-party state where dissidents are thrown into labour camps and the world is periodically threatened with nuclear war, according to a right-wing commentator. Rod Liddle appeared on TalkTV with host Mike Graham, where he compared Barnet Council’s goal to be the 'Borough of Fun' to North Korea. And the presenter went a step further, comparing it to the George Orwell novel 1984.

Barnet has drafted in a top designer in an ambitious bid to be named London Borough of Culture – but wants the public to join in too. The council has hired Red or Dead founder Wayne Hemingway to help Barnet win “the London borough of culture” by 2027. The move to be the cultural hotspot in five years’ time is being made with an appeal for Barnet people to come up with ideas for a 12-month programme of events in 2027.

Drone footage shows how London’s newest railway station is nearing completion. The video, which offers a bird’s eye view of Brent Cross West, is from footage by Galldris Services Limited, one of the contractors building the new streets and squares for the new town, and Related Argent. It shows how passengers will leave the station down the escalators and staircase of the southern concourse into the new Brent Cross Town park town.
