A header from Henry Sandat proved the difference as the Coasters failed to make their possession count. Wealdstone started off the better side, going close through Max Kretzschmar who whipped a free-kick from the left just over Ben Winterbottom’s goal.

Bryce Hosannah had put Fylde ahead but two goals in four minutes from Jamie Morgan saw Radcliffe in front prior to Taelor O’Kane levelling. Josh Hancock’s low strike then saw Radcliffe in front again before Ormerod’s late leveller.

AFC Fylde are delighted to announce the return of Chris Neal, who has been appointed as our first-team goalkeeper coach!A popular figure amongst management staff, players and supporters alike, Chris, 38, re-joins the Club in a non-playing capacity. Having represented AFC Fylde over a four-year spell starting in August 2020, where he made over 100 appearances for the Club in all competitions, Chris will now become part of Chris Beech’s backroom staff.

Goals from Jon Ustabasi, Adam Long and Nick Haughton earned AFC Fylde an excellent 3-1 win over Blackpool at Mill Farm on Friday evening. In an entertaining first-half, Ustabasi and Long struck Fylde ahead after Jake Daniels’ opener. Haughton added a third for the Coasters from the penalty spot on 55 minutes, which completed an impressive victory over their Fylde Coast neighbours. Six academy graduates were named in Chris Beech’s matchday squad for the friendly.

Having worn the same strips for two seasons, Chris Beech’s Coasters are set to sport a fresh stylish look, which the players will wear for the first-time in tonight’s pre-season friendly away at Lancaster City.
