Microsoft has announced a slew of new Xbox updates this week, including support for buying games and Game Pass via the Android app. Announced in a blog post, Microsoft says that the Xbox apps for Android and iOS will soon be able to buy games for their Xbox account (whether for streaming or console use) as well as add-on content and Game Pass. Players will also be able to redeem Perks via the mobile app.

While we’re still waiting on Samsung to resume its One UI 7 rollout, leaks keep rolling in regarding One UI 8, the Android 16 update for Galaxy devices. Another hands-on leak provides additional detail as to what’s new in Samsung’s next release. One UI 8 leaked earlier this week to show off an update that appears remarkably minor, and now SamMobile has obtained a build of that update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 which offers a bit more detail as to what’s new.

Nothing is gearing up for its next smartphone launch with teasers for the CMF Phone 2 Pro while also releasing its latest pair of earbuds. On Twitter/X, Nothing has confirmed that the upcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro will be running on top of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset. If you’ll remember, this is technically the CMF Phone (1), though the “Pro” moniker suggests something will have been changed. The MediaTek Dimensity 7400 launched in early 2025.

Google Assistant launched on the Sense and Versa smartwatches in 2020. Now, it’s shutting down. In a post that went under the radar in late March, Google announced that the Assistant app for Fitbit smartwatches would be shutting down “over the next few weeks.” Google first announced this change , but it hasn’t been implemented until now.
