    Hilton has announced the opening of Umana Bali, LXR Hotels & Resorts, marking the brand’s first resort in South East Asia. Perched on the island’s southernmost tip at Ungasan, the 72-key resort is laid out in cascading terraces atop limestone cliffs, reminiscent of ‘uma’ – or ancient rice paddy fields – after which it is named. LXR has drawn from Balinese Tri Hita Karana philosophy and its three pillars – Nature, People and Spirituality – to create a meaningful, contemporary vision for Umana Bali.

    Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr is set for its grand opening in early 2024, ushering in a new chapter for a landmark location in the heart of Morocco’s capital. Once a Sultan’s summer residence and later a military hospital, the historic Kasr Al Bahr – or the palace by the sea – is evolving again, now as a Four Seasons hotel.     Accor has announced three appointments within its luxury and lifestyle division, with the organisational changes set to be effective as of 1 January 2024. Gilda Perez-Alvarado and Maxime d’Angeac will adopt the roles of CEO and Artistic Director of Orient Express respectively. Management of the Orient Express brand will be based in Paris, while Perez-Alvarado will remain Chief Strategy Officer of the Accor Group.
