Ciena has appointed Marc D. Graff as its new chief financial officer. Graff joins the networking giant from Altera, the FPGA chip company, where he also served as CFO and helped execute the recent sale from Intel to private equity firm Silver Lake. He also previously served as CFO and chief operating officer for Intel’s data center and AI group. Graff replaces James E. Moylan, Jr., who is retiring at the end of August. The new hire will report directly to CEO Gary B. Smith.
