SANTA BARBARA, CA – The first product from California-based Lucid Motors, its Air sedan, was a proof point. It showed that Lucid could deliver Tesla-beating range and efficiency, with clever engineering, not super-sized battery packs – plus an appealing, luxurious performance sedan around it all.

Sierra EV Denali stands out with a GM-estimated 460 milesMidgate setup allows flexibility for items nearing 11-feet longVersatility from air suspension, rear-wheel steering, Super Cruise“I’ve been on that route, and it’s not one for a full-size pickup—let alone one weighing nearly 9,000 pounds.”That was what I noted, partly in disbelief, to my co-driver as we were shown into a 2025 GMC Sierra EV and sent off to wind up through narrow Bay Area Redwood highways and stretches of Skyline Boulevard.

I've seen a lot of procedural lip service on Lucid over the past day. So to the point: This is a really big deal. Well before the stress and strain to scale up, Peter, the Air, and the propulsion suite were en route to be a technology juggernaut. https://t.co/AzTYGh8O6M
Amid reported shutting-down of GSA L2 chargers, sidelining of federal EVs... Don't EVs have far lower running costs over years, as Tesla and Musk have long rightly underscored? Where did this FUD originate from again? 😕 https://t.co/yP6fqGrzyL
In the sea of adapters EV owners face this year...they're not even all interchangeable. As Tom points out, Kia has made the odd decision to rate its NACS-to-CCS adapter at just 350A—which will allow them to do fine in 800V charging but maybe not 400V sessions with other EVs.

I love what Kia (and Hyundai) have been doing with their respective EV programs, but this decision by Kia is questionable, at best. It's unclear if Hyundai plans to give out the same adapter, but I'd say the odds are it is. https://t.co/n0tbd47qps https://t.co/PUS0SOuThm
