Senior pitcher Joe Sheets started on the mound in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader. Brown (3-14, 0-3 Ivy) struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the opening frame. Its lead grew to two in the third inning after a two-out solo shot. In the top of the fourth, Sheets conceded back-to-back home runs before he was replaced by junior pitcher Evan Kleinhans, who gave up two more hits as Brown’s lead swelled to six.

The terminated program, known as the Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela (CHNV) parole process, granted two-year parole to migrants fleeing economic collapse, political instability and violence in their home countries.
