1 Introduction Computed tomography (CT) is an essential part of trauma patient initial workup. The majority of trauma patients with high-energy injury mechanisms have CT-pan scanning included in their diagnostic work-up. Pan scanning has been shown to be associated with better survival [1]. Due to its mortality benefits and efficiency in early trauma care, rapid performance of CT has become the standard of care in most parts of the world.
