An opportunistic survey of SARS-CoV-2 in wildlife was conducted in extreme Northeastern Minnesota and Isle Royale National Park during 2022 and 2023. This is the first study to test moose for SARS-CoV-2 infection. Highlights the need for continued surveillance to better understand the potential for zoonotic SARS-CoV-2 transmission and the establishment of sylvatic SARS-CoV-2 in the Upper Midwest.
