Going along with that, April 17 is Malbec World Day, a day in which Americans and the world celebrate the wine variety. The malbec has an interesting history. There can be no question that in many cases, price may become the determining factor in whether one buys an old favorite or is forced to reject it because of the new price. My position has dramatically changed. I must take into consideration the selling price of a wine as well as its quality.

    There can be little doubt that the states of Oregon and Washington are becoming a modern-day center for the production of fine wines. There are vineyards there producing exceptional wine grapes in the area around California's San Luis Obispo Coast where the soil, the air temperature and the cool breezes coming from the Pacific Ocean all combine to produce excellent wine grapes and, as its corollary, fine wines.
