The FY26 Budget has been approved by the Audubon School Board. Superintendent Trevor Miller reports the tax levy rate will remain at $11.32 per thousand dollars of valuation. The Board also approved staff raises at their April meeting. Classified staff received a $1 per hour pay increase. Miller says Supplemental Wages are going up too. "This is a multi year process to work on Head Coaches, Junior High Coaches, and Sponsors to be closer in line with the Western Iowa Conference.

The Audubon Rec Center has planned a Member Appreciation Night for June 28. Officials with the Rec Center say, "It is for our members and donors. An event to say thank you for supporting us and here is what we are working on next."The featured entertainment for the night will be live music from Addison Johnson. The event is free for members. It goes from 5 to 9 p.m. on June 28 at the Rec Center. The kids zone will have a bounce house, face painting, water balloons and other fun activities.

The Audubon School Board approved a few measures and discussed others at their meeting on Monday, May 17th. One item approved was an LGRP Agreement. Superintendent Trevor Miller says this is a "Consortium agreement for the district, part of the Natural Gas consortium that helps us save money."Another approval was for AEA Purchasing. Miller explains, "This agreement allows us to participate in the consortium, securing better pricing.

The Audubon School Board approved a measure during its February meeting to make Yearbook an extracurricular activity. According to Superintendent Trevor Miller, Yearbook will no longer be a class starting in the 2025-26 school year. The board also approved adding Film as Literature and dropping Contemporary Literature. A public hearing has been scheduled during their March meeting for the use of Flex Funds.
