    7 OCAD University hosted its 2024 Artist Alley on Saturday, an annual event held by the university since 2018. The event took place at the Great Hall and featured artwork from over 50 different students and alumni. Attendees had an opportunity to support local artists – pieces included posters, stickers, keychains, jewelry and more.

Following months of bargaining with the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), union members at AGO recently voted to reject the gallery’s most recent contract offer. Meagan Christou works at AGO, is on the bargaining team, and she’s also a steward for Local 535 with OPSEU.

Of the estimated 350 independent cinemas that currently operate across Canada, 67 of them provided feedback in the report. NICE found that 70 per cent of independent cinemas require increased public funding to remain operational.
