BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Bethlehem Area School District has announced the appointment of a new Liberty High School principal. Brandon B. Horlick, who most recently was principal of Broughal Middle School in Bethlehem, will be the 14th principal in the school's history. He succeeds Harrison Bailey III, who resigned in February to become Wilson Area School District superintendent.

NORTHAMPTON, Pa. — A founding member of platinum-selling alternative rock band Saving Abel will play Gin Mill and Grille in Northampton, but he won't play rock music. Scott Bartlett, who was lead guitarist and backing vocalist for Saving Abel for 20 years, will give the Gin Mill its first-ever live country music show when he pairs with country singer Brandon Jordan for a show at 6:30 p.m. April 10. Supporting the duo will be local country talents Lilly Moss and Dustin Flyte.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Prom season is around the corner, and it’s never too early to plan for that magical event — starting with the dress. But ask Google how much a prom dress costs and prepare to be ticket-shocked. Just in time, though, the YWCA-Bethlehem Annual Pop-Up Prom Shop is back. About 200 high school prom-goers from around the region are expected to show up to the Pop-Up Prom Shop from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, held by the YWCA-Bethlehem at Venture X in the city's historic South Side.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A Bethlehem woman has taken first place among her student radio station peers from across the country. Devon Koch, business manager at Kutztown University radio station KUR-AM 1670, won Best Business Director (Radio) this month at the 86th Annual Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Awards. Koch is a junior majoring in Animated Arts and minoring in Cinema, Television and Media Arts.
