WEST BRANCH, Iowa (KCRG) - Marg's Little Red House in Our Town West Branch is a curated peek inside the minds of three sisters from West Branch. "I do this with my two sisters, so Dana and Jodi, and Marg was our great aunt, so Margaret or Marg for short. And she lived in a little red farm house in Letts, Iowa. [It was] full of antiques," said Nikki Brick, one of the co-owners.

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - Sheriffs are increasingly calling attention to a crisis in their communities. They're saying people with serious mental illness are getting caught up in the criminal justice system because there are so few options. KCRG TV-9 talked with experts who say people who are ill are languishing, and sitting in jail longer than their initial crimes dictate, as they're locked up with nowhere to go. On April 23rd, 2022 police responded to MercyOne's Emergency Department in Dubuque.

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - The sister of a Dubuque man charged in the death of his mother says she doesn't believe holding him responsible is right, fair, or even legal. Tyler Dazey, 28, faces life in prison without the possibility of parole for killing his 46-year-old mother, Jennifer Dazey, last month. Kylie Dazey, Tyler's sister, started telling her brother's story on the social media platform, TikTok.

On that day, January 18th, while observing the 161 men and women living at the Dubuque County Jail, a familiar face to the staff returned: Tyler Dazey. He's the man accused of killing his mom and her dog in the Dubuque home they shared. The jail staff's frustration was palpable.
