    In 1983, when I came to The Express to try out for a job as a feature writer in the Living department, I made an error in the caption I was asked to write. I referred to the YWCA in Downtown Easton as the YMCA. The caption ran and the paper had to issue a correction. Lucky for me, I landed the job despite my carelessness. For the next 10 years, The Express, which became The Express-Times after merging with the Bethlehem Globe-Times, was my work home.
