My name is Bhavisha Patel, and my children and I have been victims of a deeply flawed and unjust US family court system that granted sole physical custody to my abusive ex-husband. I am sharing my story in the hope of seeking justice not only for myself but for countless other women who face similar situations of abuse, dependency, and unjust court rulings.

#Justice for a mother and her kidsGovernment:My kids and I have been victims of the US family court system that granted sole physical custody to the father who abused me mentally and physically. In 2005, I came to the USA on a student dependent visa then was on H4 visa which does not allow you to work in America, as a result I was financially dependent.  I had my first daughter in 2007 and I was being abused even more and more by my husband.
