KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Disaster incidents induced by persistent rainfall across the country has resulted in at least 100 deaths in the past three days, leaving 40 individuals injured and 65 missing.
According to the Armed Police Force (APF), as of 11:30 pm on Saturday, at least 48 individuals died while 15 sustained injuries and 21 are missing in the Kathmandu valley due to incidents caused by the incessant rain since Thursday evening.

KATHMANDU, Sept 28: An overflowing Manohara river induced by the incessant rainfall since Thursday has entered homes along its corridor in Imadol, Lalitpur, on Saturday morning.
A large number of people living in squatters and ground floor of houses next to the river corridor have been displaced after the water level of the river rose to an alarming level overnight after continuous rain.

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Police have recommended two Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) for promotion to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG) in a move that will increase the number of vacancies in the position of DIGs to a total of nine. According to police spokesperson DIG Dan Bahadur Karki, DIGs Buddhi Gurung and Kedar Dhakal have been recommended by the police headquarters for promotion.
