One of the most shocking things to come out of Wrestlemania weekend this year was the announcement that WWE, in conjunction with Mexican sports equity company Filip, had purchased the lucha libre promotion AAA. AAA has been a staple in the lucha libre scene since 1992 after CMLL booker Antonio Pena left that promotion along with Konnan. AAA soon became known for its more Americanized version of lucha libre — incorporating wild characters, violent matches and mainstream music into their shows.

Ron Delsener Presents. These three words were synonymous with shows in New York City in the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. They were emblazoned on billboards, splash atop of print ads and posters, and were read aloud with immense gusto on TV and radio spots. Ron Delsener Presents is also the aptly titled documentary about the famed concert promoter’s life.

Netflix presented TUDUM 2025 on Saturday night May 31 at the (fabulous) Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. Netflix favorite Sofia Carson, star of The Life List (amongst other Netflix films), was the host of this star-studded event. For those unfamiliar with TUDUM – it’s essentially Netflix’s version of Hall H at Comic-Con. It’s where they gather the stars of all their big properties, have them do really inane and often times maddening bits, in order to present news about their upcoming project.

It’s not unusual to associate artists with certain geographic regions — Bruce Springsteen with Asbury Park, Willie Nelson with Austin, the Red Hot Chili Peppers with Los Angeles, etc. When it comes to New Orleans, one of the first artists that leaps to head of the sonic second line is Galactic. The group, whose main nucleus of musicians has been performing for over 30 years, have created music that embodies the culture, the aura, the vibe and soul of New Orleans.

It is no secret I’m not a fan of GH‘s Sonny. I’ve disliked him since I started watching the show in the spring of 2002. However, I recognize there have been good stories because of his presence in addition to all the negative things I could say about his existence. However, lately I’ve been wondering if it is time for Sonny to exit the narrative. He’s been replaying all his greatest hits for years, he’s had one good love interest in the last 15 years and he feels stagnant. Does GH still need Sonny?
