According to the post on Monday, Jan. 21, Simms — who was affectionally called "Boo" by her loved ones — suffered "a tragic surgery complication" this past week.

We can all get sick of our favorite actors, especially when they’re victims of overexposure. Ben Still had been on the scene since the 1980s but really came into his own in the 1990s (shoutouts to The Ben Stiller Show and Heavyweights!). After the success of There’s Something About Mary in 1998, the 2000s didn’t have a single year without multiple Ben Stiller movies. There was Meet the Parents and Zoolander and Duplex and Dodgeball and on and on. And after a while, it just got old for some.

The comedy improv game show Whose Line is it Anyway? became a big hit in the States in the late 90s. So much so that ABC was confident enough to put up against the sitcom juggernaut Friends at one point. The show continued on with a revival on The CW, but some audiences may remember its origin in the UK that was shown on the BBC, which also played on Comedy Central before it was remade on this side of the pond. One of the standout comedians in the UK version was British comedian Tony Slattery.

Earlier this week, while trying to evacuate his home, an NBC LA reporter, Robert Kovacik, interrupted Dennis to get an interview.
