When developing a new large language model (LLM), choosing the right training data is critical. “What you train your model on will determine completely different abilities,” Ian Magnusson, AI researcher at the University of Washington and the Allen Institute for AI (Ai2), told The New Stack. An AI’s training data affects efficiency, bias and accuracy.

As I covered on The New Stack recently, researchers have discovered that MCP is not secure by default. It's prone to vulnerabilities such as tool poisoning, rug pulls, tool shadowing, and remote control execution (RCE). My presentation covered the hype around agentic AI and the excitement around MCP. It then looks at these risks and suggests some mitigations. It was very helpful for me to put this together, and I'll post the recording of the session once it's out.

In synchronous API development, the dominant style is REST, in which a client requests a resource from a server and gets a response. However, software architectures are becoming increasingly event-driven, relying on external events to push changes to the client asynchronously.

API governance means different things to different folks. But for all intents and purposes, API governance is the intentional oversight of API design, style, development, lifecycle, and security to ensure all interfaces and their behaviors are compliant with company-wide standards and industry best practices. Governance isn’t sector-specific. Rather, the need for API governance is more closely correlated with the organization’s size, technology portfolio, and development culture.

When does API governance actually make sense? I wrote up a brain dump of real scenarios — like managing a massive catalog, meeting regulations, avoiding drift, curbing AI chaos, and others. Up now on @nordicapis. https://t.co/YFV2i10uFX

The microservices versus monolith debate is timeless — but lately, I’ve noticed fewer hardline stances and more of a pragmatic "honestly, it depends." Case in point: https://t.co/VaWX1LMjGP

LLM APIs aren't cheap. Semantic caching is like traditional caching — but for AI. My latest for @thenewstack dives into how it works, where it fits, and why it's catching on. https://t.co/01ycTcwkCh
