#1 · Okey dokey, I'm starting this thread because this newest model from Panasonic has started showing up at retail. My order from Circuit City is being delivered today, so I wil have additional comments later tonight, but a friend picked up a unit at retail, also a Circuit City, on the west coast yesterday. I'll let Brad post his comments, but from our conversation last night, those with HDMI 1.3 receivers can be prepared to get happy. More to come.

#2 · It will be interesting to see what features that the 5509 will have that the 5508 does not. Its funny that the avland link has a picture of the 1009. In the past I have found the specs they use on their site to not be very accurate.

David Gilmour's new studio album is called Luck and Strange in September. The guitarist and songwriter's fifth solo album was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and is Gilmour’s first album of new material in nine years. David co-produced with ALT-J's Charlie Andrew and Marika Hackman, with lyrics mostly written by Polly Samson.
