    Here’s a roundup of recent tour news. Check the Tour Dates category for more. MEMORIALSMEMORIALS, the duo of Verity Susman (Electrelane) and Matthew Simms (Wire, It Hugs Back), will be on their first North American tour this fall, opening for Stereolab. They’ve added a few headline shows now, including Brooklyn’s Public Records on September 25 and Tubby’s Kingston on September 30, plus Providence, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle.

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor has announced her eighth album, Perimenopop, which will be out September 12 via Casablanca Records. This is her first LP in two years and her first since Saltburn launched her 2001 single “Murder on the Dancefloor” back into the charts and gave her her first US hit. The album includes recent singles “Freedom of the Night,” “Relentless Love,” and “Vertigo,” and she’s just shared “Taste,” which was produced by Jon Shave and features NMEK.
