    Jonathan Richman is back with a new album, Only Frozen Sky Anyway, which will be out July 16 via his own Blue Arrow Records. Like 2021’s Want to Visit My Inner House?, this one was co-produced by Talking Heads‘ Jerry Harrison, who, before joining that band, was a member of Jonathan’s band The Modern Lovers.

    Following a string of EPs and opening slots for Slowdive, Whirr, Panchiko and more, rising shoegaze artist Wisp has now announced her debut album, If Not Winter, which is out August 1 via Interscope. The album includes recent singles “Sword” and “Get Back to Me” and the just-released “Save Me Now,” which Wisp says “represents the desperation for attention, sometimes mistaken as love, when you are in a lonely and vulnerable place.
