A simpler way to expand Warren Avenue Bridge and save moneyBill Slach, Port OrchardKitsap SunThe recent discussions regarding the expansion of the Warren Avenue Bridge sidewalks makes no sense to me. Why does it have to be on both sides? The Manette Bridge only has a walkway on one side. The northwest end of the bridge is not conducive to foot traffic as is what with the on-ramp joining that side. Save even more money; build it on the east side of the bridge only. I looked for those large blue and white "H" signs hoping for a clue. Are they there and I missed them? If they aren't there, why not? Who would install them? The hospital, the county, or the state?Earlier, in December, an ambulance took a family member to the wrong door of the hospital. It was locked.
