HOLLYWOOD — A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was unveiled May 30 honoring comedian Ricky Gervais for a television career best known to Americans for hosting the Golden Globe Awards. In his native England, Gervais is best known as a co-creator and star of the BBC Two comedy, “The Office,” which was adapted into the American version that ran from 2005 to 2013 on NBC. “This is pretty crazy and humbling,” Gervais told the crowd as he accepted the honor.
