HCMC – Vietnam’s rice exports amounted to 268,700 tons in the first 15 days of 2025, generating US$165.7 million in revenue, up by 38.7% and 23.28% compared to the same period last year, respectively. The export price of Vietnam’s 5% broken rice has fallen to US$413 per ton, 25% broken rice to US$387 per ton, and 30% broken rice to US$330 per ton, reported the Vietnam News Agency.

HCMC – Citizens of Vietnam and Belarus will be able to travel visa-free between the two countries starting late this month. The agreement allows a maximum visa-free stay of 30 days per trip and a cumulative limit of 90 days annually. HCMC – The ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance have announced to lower retail prices of most fuels, with effect from 3 p.m. today, December 5. RON 95-III gasoline now sells for VND20,563 per liter, dropping by VND294. E5 RON 92 bio-gasoline is priced at VND19,864 per liter, down by VND24. Diesel oil fell by VND395 to VND18,382 per liter, while kerosene decreased by VND325 to VND18,817 per liter. Heavy fuel oil remained unchanged at VND16,125 per kilogram.

HCMC – Vietnam’s wooden products exports had generated around US$13.2 billion in the year to October, a 12% year-on-year increase, and are projected to reach between US$15.5 billion and US$16 billion in all of 2024. The U.S. remained the largest importer of Vietnam’s wooden goods in the first 10 months, accounting for over 50% of the total, followed by China and Japan, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
