1 INTRODUCTION Chloroethene compounds such as tetrachloroethene (PCE) and its daughter products (trichloroethene [TCE], dichloroethenes [DCEs], and vinyl chloride [VC]) are often found in groundwater sources in concentrations ranging from 0.001 mM to over 0.45 mM (Conrad et al., 2010; Minnesota Department of Health, 2014; Sekar et al., 2016; Taş et al., 2010; Tiehm & Schmidt, 2011; United States Environmental Protection Agency [US EPA], 2023; World Health Organization, 1996).
