BALTIMORE - Park legally or pay up. That's been the message from the city after the Baltimore Department of Transportation announced it was cracking down on illegal parking earlier this year. Since Baltimore DOT began enforcement around the clock on March 10, it's issued at least 53,304 parking citations and counting. That's nearly 10,000 more tickets issued than the same time period last year, with 43,620. "The best way to avoid not paying one of these fines is to not park illegally.

BALTIMORE - Johns Hopkins University is making funding available for research projects immediately impacted by federal cuts, in an effort to bridge the multi-million dollar shortfall it now faces. Earlier this year, the institution announced it would lose $800 million in federal funding as part of DOGE's cuts to USAID. "This situation for higher education is pretty much unprecedented," economist with the Urban Institute Sandy Baum said.

Anne Arundel County Government is providing an update on the February 22, 2025, cyber incident and a notice that this event may have impacted the confidentiality of information related to certain individuals who received treatment and related services at @AAHealth.

Potential data compromised includes confidential information from people treated by the Dept. of Health.

BREAKING: @AACountyGovt confirms the cybersecurity incident from earlier this year was a ransomeware attack and files were downloaded without authorization between Jan 28-Feb 22. It's unclear how many people/what data has been affected. @WMAR2News
