The WPT Prime Cyprus Championship surpassed all expectations, attracting 1,391 runners to generate a juicy $1,349,270 prize pool. Daniel Lowery continued his personal quest to be the first to 20 rings after winning his 18th ring earlier this week at WSOP Oklahoma at Hard Rock Tulsa. It was Lowery’s second win in a week, sweeping both of the seniors events to move into a tie for second on the all-time WSOP Circuit ring list. They weren’t small Seniors events either. Lowery topped a field of 448 to win the first $250 event for $17,187 before winning the second $250 event for $15,831, besting the 399-entry field.

The very first bracelet on the 2025 WSOP schedule will be awarded at the Commerce Casino and Hotel on May 17th. The Tournament of Champions is back in Los Angeles for the second consecutive league year, with the event held from May 15th to the 17th. The three-day tournament is a $1,000,000 freeroll, eligible to those who won a bracelet or a WSOP Circuit ring since the end of last year’s TOC.
