The AL West is not the strongest division this year. The Texas Rangers currently sit as the only team above .500. This could be one of the most interesting division races in all of baseball this year. For this A’s ballclub, they have a great group of exciting talent.

Fast forward to 2025, Hunter Greene has blossomed into a true ace for the Cincinnati Reds. Fresh off his first all-star appearance in 2024, Greene has come into the 2025 season with a pretty hefty goal in mind. Winning the Cy Young Award.

The Athletics have been the center of controversy all offseason. Behind playing in a minor league ballpark and a controversial owner, the A’s haven’t had the most positive feedback surrounding them. Currently, the Athletics sit at 4-6 10 games into the season. Fourth in the AL West ahead of the Seattle Mariners. While many would write this team off, there are some legitimate conversations to be had about how this team could be a playoff team.

As if Saturday morning, the Colorado Rockies are off to a horrible start. They currently sit at 1-6 on the season. The current Rockies’ staff sits dead last in opponent batting average and strikeouts and 28th in hits and WHIP. Their team ERA sits at 3.90 which is 12th best in the league and they are top five in walks allowed. While the ERA and walks allowed are decent, there’s still a lot to work on. That’s why the team has decided to call up top prospect Chase Dollander.
