    University of Minnesota Athletics Minnesota defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere is headed to the NFL, where he’ll serve in the same position with the Arizona Cardinals. 247 Sports was the first to report the news. The 27-year-old DeLattiboudere has made a meteoric climb through the coaching ranks since graduating from Minnesota.

Fleck plans to hire former Purdue defensive coordinator Kevin Kane for an on-field coaching role. Neither his hiring or his official role have been announced by the University. Kane spent the past two seasons as the defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach at Purdue under former head coach Ryan Walters.

    It seems head coach P.J. Fleck and co. weren’t quite finished with their 2025 recruiting class, as they’ve added a late commitment from three-star running back Xavier Ford. Ford was named “Mr. Football” by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association after a record-setting season in which he rushed for 3,467 yards and 52 touchdowns. He will officially sign his letter of intent on Feb. 5 and enroll in the fall.

    Gopher Sports Minnesota is promoting safeties coach Danny Collins to defensive coordinator. CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz was the first to report it. He will replace previous defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman, who left to take the same position with Miami (Fl.) in spite of signing a contract extension in December. Collins has spent his entire coaching career working under P.J. Fleck, starting with a two-year stint as a defensive graduate assistant at Western Michigan.
