AbstractAfforestation can play a key role in local climate mitigation by influencing local temperature through changes in land surface properties. Afforestation impacts depend strongly on the background climate, with contrasting effects observed across geographical locations, seasons and levels of greenhouse gas-induced warming. Meanwhile, atmospheric aerosols, which are a critical factor influencing regional climate, have varied substantially in recent decades and will continue to change.

To investigate the causal relationship between circulating serum homocysteine (Hcy) levels and osteoporosis (OP). Using public datasets gathered from independently published genome-wide association studies (GWAS), Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was done to investigate the causal influence of Hcy on OP. SNPs were selected from a meta-analysis of GWAS on Hcy concentrations in 44,147 individuals of European ancestry.
