Last week was a very good one for the Western Slope Dark Sky Coalition’s San Miguel County Dark Sky Reserve Project. The Coalition received $5,000 from San Miguel County and 70 hours of expert consulting time from the State of Colorado. Previously, the Coalition received $2,000 from the Telluride Foundation and $1,000 from San Miguel Power Association and Basin Electric. A $2,000 proposal is still under review by the Town of Mountain Village.
