When oral arguments begin Wednesday morning before the U.S. Supreme Court, the nine justices will review an unusual case: a dispute from Oklahoma over a Catholic school’s bid to become the nation’s first-ever religious-based charter school. The nation’s highest court is hearing arguments from two consolidated lawsuits. The first is St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School v. Drummond, named for the diocese that is suing Oklahoma’s attorney general, Gentner Drummond, who blocked it.

The head of a Christian athletic group says the fact that two proposals aimed at protecting women's sports failed to pass last week is another reminder that parents need to get in the battle against the pro-LGBTQ agenda. Each of the two proposals before lawmakers in the state of Washington needed 60% to pass. Neither managed to reach that level. One that would have restricted transgender athletes from participating in girls' sports got 58.5%.

A poll to gauge the public’s views on teaching character and morals in public school classrooms found an overwhelming amount of support. The poll, conducted by RMG Research, surveyed 1,000 registered voters on behalf of LifeWise Academy, the Bible lesson ministry designed for school children. Among the survey results, 41% and 35% respectively said they “strongly favor” or “somewhat favor” teaching moral and character education to public school children.

At UConn School of Medicine, the incoming class of 2028 was required to recite an oath that promises to “actively support policies that promote social justice and specifically work to dismantle policies that perpetuate inequities, exclusion, discrimination and racism.” That oath has been recited by first-year UConn med students since 2022 during their White Coat Ceremony. That special and memorable day marks the beginning of their journey through medical school or dental school.
