Ashton Jeanty’s NFL Draft odds have remained remarkably consistent over the last month. Ever since general manager John Spytek attended Boise State’s late-March Pro Day, the Las Vegas Raiders have sat atop the Jeanty draft odds. The Raiders hold the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which will be held April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In the latest odds from DraftKings, the Raiders are a -150 favorite to select the Boise State star running back.

In the aftermath of Boise State’s College Football Playoff Fiesta Bowl loss to Penn State, head coach Spencer Danielson said backup running back Sire Gaines would’ve been ready for the semifinal round. Gaines appeared in three games as a true freshman before suffering an unspecified lower-body injury that sidelined him for the rest of the season. During winter workouts, Gaines reaggravated the injury and has yet to be cleared for practice.

With spring practice wrapping up, Boise State is looking to add some more talent to its wide receiver room. Wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator Matt Miller said the Broncos will be going after another pass-catcher in the transfer portal. “We definitely want to go get another guy,” Miller said. “I think we’re always trying to improve our roster on a day-to-day basis.”Boise State must replace two of its top three receivers from last season in Cam Camper and Prince Strachan.

A third returning starter for Boise State has decided to enter the transfer portal during spring practice. Punter James Ferguson-Reynolds, a Ray Guy Award semifinalist in 2023, announced Tuesday morning that he will be entering the transfer portal.
