After kicking off April with a dedicated Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo promised a follow-up livestream detailing Mario Kart World. The event kicked off at 9 AM ET and lasted around 15 minutes. Kicking off with a montage of the levels, characters, and power-ups. We learn that there’s a bevy of biomes, from a city to the desert to plains, and once, you can drive everywhere in a connected world, and freely drive between the levels. We see Courses first, which are inspired by the region they’re in.

Last month, Bionic Bay left a positive impression on me. For the few hours I spent trying to survive a world covered in rust and death traps, I was impressed by how simple the premise was and how much I was set on getting this nameless character out of his dangerous situation. A mash-up of Limbo, Inside, and Celeste, Bionic Bay’s creators were not hiding that they grew up and were inspired by Super Mario, Mega Man, and TMNT.

Sony has increased the price of PlayStation Plus in Canada for all subscribers, and many are unhappy with the notice. The last price hike was in September 2023. In an email sent to subscribers (I received the same notice), Sony says it is increasing the price, saying, “The price for your current PlayStation Plus Extra 12-month subscription will be increased to CAD 189.99.
