AKURE – There was jubilation during the week as men of Ondo State Security Network, otherwise known as Amotekun Corps, rescued five persons from kidnapers’ dens in two different locations in the state unscathed. AKURE – Adekolajo Aladeseyi and two chiefs that allegedly participated in his(Adekolajo) installation as the Olujare of Ijare in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State without the approval of the state Executive Council have been granted bail on liberal terms. Adekolajo Aladeseyi, Fasore Lawrence and Adegbenro Akanle were arrested and arraigned on Thursday last week but remanded in Police custody pending the ruling on the bail application filed by their attorney, Adekanle Akinrata.

The crisis between farmers in Oluwa Forest Reserve in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State and SAO Agro-Allied Services Limited, which the state government had allocated 10,000 hectares for oil palm plantation project, may have been doused as the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa Exonerates the firm of any complicity. Reacting to the allegations leveled by the protesting farmers, Governor Aiyedatiwa said the allegations were a distortion of facts, saying the firm acquired the lands legally.
