UPDATE: A 24-year-old Paterson man was charged Wednesday with the hit-and-run death of an 83-year-old Hawthorne woman as she crossed a Glen Rock street two days earlier. The Honda CRV that David Romero was driving when he was stopped by a Glen Rock police officer around 6:45 a.m. Feb. 1, not only has a dented hood. Tape also remained on an apparently new replacement windshield and bits of clothing were found in the grill.

Authorities seized a suspect and the vehicle that they believe struck and killed an 83-year-old Hawthorne woman as she crossed a Glen Rock street two days earlier. The Honda CRV not only has a dented hood -- tape also remained on an apparently new replacement windshield and bits of clothing were found in the grill. A Glen Rock police officer in an unmarked car stopped the driver around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, on Lincoln Avenue near northbound Route 208.
