    NEWBURYPORT — Seniors Reese Bromby and Avery Tahnk have elevated their play in big moments throughout their Newburyport girls’ lacrosse careers. The duo delivered in their final home game to send the Clippers back to the Division 3 semifinals. Bromby netted five goals — including a first-half hat trick — and Tahnk tallied four of her own to lift second-seeded Newburyport to a 12-4 victory over No. 10 Hanover (12-9) in a quarterfinal Saturday at James T. Stehlin Field.

BRAD JOYAL PHOTO MASHPEE – Tamer Khalil has picked up right where he left off.  The senior from Chatham has been among the Cape’s most prolific lacrosse scorers to start off the spring season, recording 22 points through three games.  He scored two goals and tallied two assists in the team’s 14-2 victory at Mashpee to help the Sharks improve to 3-0.
