This will likely be strong enough to lead to areas of blowing dust by the afternoon/evening hours. Visibility reductions also remain possible, so use caution if traveling Sunday, especially during the afternoon and evening. Winds will also be on the gusty side Monday.

    As a storm system slowly passes by to our north, it looks like we will see an increase in winds through the end of the week and into Easter weekend. Winds will begin to increase midweek, with some of the strongest winds arriving Thursday and Friday. This will also likely bring blowing dust back to the Borderland, especially Thursday and Friday. When visibilities could drop below 1 mile at times, in areas of blowing dust.

    As a storm system passes by to our north, it looks like we will see an increased winds continue through the weekend. In fact we will likely wind gusts of 40+ mph Saturday, with gusts to 35+ mph possible Sunday. Higher gusts possible east facing mountain slopes. Along with the gusty winds, we could see isolated areas blowing dust. Especially with continued dry conditions. After the storm system moves through the Rocky Mountains and continues east, lighter winds will return Monday.
