Triple digit temperatures return the end of the week through the weekend

The KFOX14 Weather team has issued a Weather Warn Saturday through Tuesday for hot afternoon temperatures. After seeing a brief break from the hotter temperatures, hotter weather will be returning. These will be some of the hottest temperatures we have seen so far this year, as highs approach record levels once again. Make sure to practice hot weather safety!Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and make sure to take breaks in shade or air conditioned settings.
Gusty storm chances return again Tuesday

As moisture pushes back into the Borderland, we will see slight chances for gusty storms return. Currently, the best chances for showers/storms look to be on Tuesday. With slight chances lingering through Thursday. Storms will likely contain gusty winds, which could cause some blowing dust. Isolated storms may also contain hail. Highs will come down some, in the to mid to upper 90s(near average) Tuesday and Wednesday.

A storm system moving from the Pacific Northwest into the Northern and Central Rockies. Will bring a return of gusty winds and blowing dust to the Borderland Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday will be breezy to windy, with some blowing light blowing dust possible. Tuesday and Wednesday will see stronger wind, with gusts 45 to 50+ mph possible. Brining a return of widespread blowing dust possible both Tuesday and Wednesday.

The KFOX14 Severe Weather Team has issued a Weather Warn for Sunday due to winds kicking up blowing dust. We will still be on the gusty Sunday, with gusts 20 to 30+ mph. This will likely be strong enough to lead to areas of blowing dust by the afternoon/evening hours. Visibility reductions also remain possible, so use caution if traveling Sunday, especially during the afternoon and evening. Winds will also be on the gusty side Monday.

A storm system moving from the west coast into the Rockies, will bring gustier winds to the Borderland beginning Saturday. Winds will be breezy Saturday, with gusts to around 25 mph. With higher gusts of 35 to 45 mph possible Sunday. This will once again mean the likelihood of blowing dust SundayThe peak gusts are expected to arrive between 1-6 PM on Sunday afternoon.

As a storm system slowly passes by to our north, it looks like we will see an increase in winds through the end of the week and into Easter weekend. Winds will begin to increase midweek, with some of the strongest winds arriving Thursday and Friday. This will also likely bring blowing dust back to the Borderland, especially Thursday and Friday. When visibilities could drop below 1 mile at times, in areas of blowing dust.

As a storm system passes by to our north, it looks like we will see an increased winds continue through the weekend. In fact we will likely wind gusts of 40+ mph Saturday, with gusts to 35+ mph possible Sunday. Higher gusts possible east facing mountain slopes. Along with the gusty winds, we could see isolated areas blowing dust. Especially with continued dry conditions. After the storm system moves through the Rocky Mountains and continues east, lighter winds will return Monday.

The KFOX14 Severe Weather Team has issued a Weather Warn for Thursday, due to the expectation of strong winds and blowing dust. Winds Thursday are expected to range between 25 and 35 mph out of the southwest, with gusts over 50 mph possible. As a result visibilities may become reduced in areas of blowing dust. Blowing dust is possible once again, however it will not be as dense as Friday due to a slight shift in wind direction.

As a front pushes in from the north and east tonight, we will see an increase in windy weather tonight. In fact we will likely winds of 25 to 35 mph. With gusts to 50+ mph possible, especially west facing mountain slopes. As a result, a Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service, from 11 p.m. through 8 a.m.Along with the gusty winds, we could see isolated areas blowing dust. Especially with continued dry conditions.
